Currently RE.TE is working to promote participatory and integrated actions for the elimination of malaria in Nicaragua, especially in the indigenous communities of the Alto Wangky, in the autonomous region of the Caribbean coast, and in the "mine triangle" of Chinandega. The work is realized with municipal or community health committees, to realize prevention plans for malaria by involving all local actors and community supervision activities. At community level, the project realizes training courses to manage diagnosis and treatments. In each location a campaign of information, education and communication is centered on prevent, identify and follow cases of malaria.
